May starts and a revolution arrives to
SantaRosa-Altoaragón school. In 1st of BACH A we can find the
students between papers and crayons. Some of them working with pencils in their
hands. Some of them, working with scissors. Everyone with rubbers and rules
closer to them, you never know. They’re smiling but they’re also concentrated.
In fact, they look like when they were younger and took care of doing well
the art homework. Are all of them getting back to their childhood? No, they
aren’t! The fact is Euro-scola has started!
Step by step, the draws start to get recognizable. A
few people are working to turn a big yellow paper into stars. Exactly, twelve
stars by flag. Does it ring a bell to you? One clue, not far, there’s another blue big
paper. Right! That’s our European Union flag, which we’re going to use in
several activities with the children of the school.
As the weather let us, we use the place we’ve got
outside the classroom, because the murals are big and we need space to work.
The motto we’ve chosen isn’t well-known, but it should be.
“United in
diversity”
It’s more than a few words which sound well together.
It’s the current European Union motto. Four words that remind us the main aim
is not to be all the same but respect and make the most of our differences.
Knowing other cultures makes you grow up, and that’s why we are going to pass on to
our school children.
To get it, while we’re working in the murals, we’re
also organizing games and activities about the EU State Members, in which the
children will have to press their brains to recognize each country flat.
Something is being carried out in our school… and it
looks really really well…
Are you going to miss it?
